OrlandoiX wins Orlando Tech Community Support Grant

Just before the doors opened Friday night to kickoff OrlandoiX 2018. We received word that we had won a $10,000 matching grant from the City of Orlando’s Technology Community Support Pilot Program.

The grant program expands the City of Orlando’s commitment to creating an environment for entrepreneurship as a critical component of the region’s innovation ecosystem. In collaboration with the Orlando Economic Partnership, the grant program provides matched-funding support for Orlando technology-focused events and programs.

Four key goals were required to receive the grant. They include increasing the connection and collaboration among start-up and existing tech companies; building a tech talent pipeline; catalyzing private capital investments, and to increase Orlando’s reputation as a tech hub.

We’d like to thank the City of Orlando for creating the grant program, the Orlando Economic Partnership, and judges who selected us for the grant funding.
