We’re excited to announce Brian Mullins as our second keynote speaker for OrlandoiX 2018.

Brian is a pioneer in the field of AR who has been on the forefront of the industry for over a decade. He is a board member of AugmentedReality.org and founded and served as CEO of DAQRI, a Los Angeles-based enterprise AR company.

Brian is currently the founder and CEO of Important Design, a studio that brings together designers, engineers, and scientists that have unique experience in solving real-world problems with augmented reality.

During his career, he has studied the potential that AR has to positively change the lives of people around the world and in 2016 was called to testify at the U.S. Senate hearing on the potential impact that Augmented Reality will have on the future.

Prior to founding DAQRI, Brian worked in the fields of industrial robotics and military command and control systems, working as a consultant to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, CA.

Earlier in his career, Brian worked as an engineer at the Computer-Aided Operational Research Facility operated by the U.S. Department of Transportation, supporting simulation and network technologies and working with some of the pioneers of those fields.

Brian’s keynote will highlight trends and design strategies in augmented reality. Catch his keynote as part of our speaker series on Saturday, August 18.
